Psalm 150

Let Everything Praise the LORD

This is the grand finale of the whole book of Psalms! Praise God with every instrument you can think of — trumpets, harps, lyres, tambourines, strings, flutes, and cymbals! And when all the instruments finish, the final voice that praises God is the most important one: YOU! Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!

  1. 1Hallelujah! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty expanse.
  2. 2Praise Him for His acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness.
  3. 3Praise Him with the blast of the trumpet; praise Him with harp and lyre.
  4. 4Praise Him with tambourine and dancing; praise Him with strings and flute.
  5. 5Praise Him with clashing cymbals; praise Him with resounding cymbals.
  6. 6Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Hallelujah!

What it means

The whole book of Psalms ends with an explosion of praise! Every instrument, every nation, every living creature — everything that breathes is invited to praise God. That includes you!

A little prayer

Lord, I praise You with everything I have! Let all my life be a song of praise to You. Hallelujah! Amen.
