Our promise to families
Psalms for Kids was built so a child can open any of the 150 psalms, understand it, and find words for joy, worry, wonder, and gratitude. We want it to be a place you can hand to a kid and walk away from without worrying.
That means the things a lot of kids' sites are full of (ads, pop-ups, accounts, tracking) are exactly the things we leave out.
No ads, no logins, no tracking
- No advertising. No banners, pop-ups, or sponsored content anywhere on the site.
- No account needed. Every psalm, song, prayer, quiz, and activity is free to use without signing in or creating a profile.
- No behavioral tracking. We don't sell data, and we don't use ad trackers to follow your child around the web.
- No user-to-user chat or comments. There is nowhere on the site where a stranger can message or post to your child.
About Bible Buddy, our AI helper
Bible Buddy is a small chat helper that answers kid-friendly questions about the Bible and the Psalms. It only talks about Bible topics, it never asks for or stores a child's personal information, and if a conversation turns to something serious or personal, it gently points kids toward a trusted adult instead of answering.
It is not a person, and it is not connected to any other child on the site — there is no way for one child to reach another through it.
How little we collect
The only information we ever ask for is an email address, and only if an adult chooses to join our newsletter for the free reading plan and occasional updates. That signup is meant for parents and teachers, not kids.
You can unsubscribe at any time, and you never have to give an email to read or use anything on the site. For the full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Are we certified child-safe?
We've built the site to meet the bar that programs like the kidSAFE Seal look for: no ads, no accounts, no tracking, no stranger contact. We have not yet completed a formal third-party child-safety certification, and we won't claim one until it's real. If that matters for your classroom or organization, our contact page is the place to ask us about it.
Links that leave our site
Some pages include songs and videos that play from outside services (for example, YouTube). Those services have their own rules, and recommendations may show up there that we don't control. We suggest watching alongside younger kids, or using a kid-safe mode in your browser or device.
The Bible we use
Scripture on this site is shown from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), a modern, faithful, public-domain English translation. We show the real text of the psalm, never a simplified or rewritten version, alongside a short, warm explanation of what it means for kids. Explanations aim to be warm and non-denominational; the verses themselves are always quoted as they are.
A personal plan for each child
Setting up multiple kids, or a whole classroom? Our Family Plan lets you add a child, pick a grade level and a few favorite subjects, and get a short list of daily picks — no account, nothing saved anywhere but this device.
Exploring it together
- Read one a day. The 31-day reading plan walks your family through all 150 psalms in a month.
- Start with a favorite. Psalms 23, 91, 100, and 121 are gentle places to begin.
- Pray it back. The prayers turn every psalm into words a child can say out loud.
- Make it hands-on. The free printables add coloring pages, verse copywork, and memory cards.
