Family ideas — no screen needed
- Psalm at dinner. Read one short psalm out loud before you eat. Talk about one line that stood out.
- Draw the psalm. Pick a psalm with strong pictures — shepherds, mountains, lions, eagles — and draw what you see.
- One-verse memory. Choose a single verse from a psalm and say it three times before bed for a week.
- Pray it back. Read a psalm slowly, then say it back to God in your own words.
- Walk-and-thank. On a walk, take turns thanking God for something you see — a Psalm 104 style nature prayer.
- Sing your own. Make up a tune for two lines of a psalm and sing it together. (The first psalmists did exactly this.)
