Frequently asked questions
Questions parents ask us
Real answers to the questions parents, teachers, and pastors most often have about Psalms for Kids.
Is Psalms for Kids free?
Yes. Every page on Psalms for Kids — all 150 Psalms, the Bible stories, the BSB Bible reader, the activities, the quizzes — is free to read. There's no paywall, no sign-up wall, and no required donation. Gifts on our donation page are voluntary and they keep the site free for families who can't give.
What Bible translation do you use?
We use the Berean Standard Bible (BSB). The BSB is a faithful, modern English translation that's in the public domain, which means we can quote it freely and never restrict access. Verse references on every story, blog, and psalm page link back to the BSB chapter on this site.
Is Psalms for Kids safe for my child?
Yes. There are no third-party ads, no comment sections, no chat features, and no places strangers can post content. We don't ask children to make accounts. We don't collect personal data about children. The whole site is designed to be a calm, joyful reading space.
Who writes the Bible stories?
Real, named people — parents, grandparents, friends, and couples — tell each Bible story on the site. You can meet all of them on our /storytellers page, with a portrait, a short role, and a bio for each. Scripture quoted in every story is verbatim BSB.
What ages is Psalms for Kids for?
Roughly ages 4 to 11. The reading level on stories, blogs, and the storybook Psalms is written for a child reading at home or being read to at bedtime. The full BSB Bible reader is open to any age. Older kids and parents read it too.
Can I use Psalms for Kids in Sunday school or homeschool?
Absolutely. Teachers, pastors, and homeschooling parents are very welcome to use the stories, psalms, prayers, and Bible chapters in any classroom setting. If you want to print pages, the site is print-friendly. If you'd like to share, just link back so other families can find us.
Do you have ads or collect data about children?
No third-party ads run on Psalms for Kids. We don't profile children, we don't run behavioural-ad networks, and we don't sell visitor information. Our privacy policy and Children's Privacy (COPPA) page spell out exactly what we do and don't collect.
How can I support Psalms for Kids?
Three ways. Read a story with a child you love. Tell another parent the site exists. And if you'd like to give, our /donation page accepts one-time gifts that keep the site free for families who can't give and let us add more Bible stories.
How often do you add new content?
Bible stories are added in batches. We shipped 12 stories told by 12 different families in the last month. New blog devotions and psalm-by-psalm pages are added regularly. The whole 66-book BSB Bible reader is already complete.
Can I contact you?
Yes. Our /contact page has a short form, and you can also reach us by email through that page. We read every message, and we love hearing from parents and teachers.
