Weather & Seasons
The four seasons, and the weather that comes with each one.
Four seasons
A year has four seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter. Spring brings new flowers and warmer days. Summer is hot and sunny. Fall (or autumn) turns the leaves orange and brown. Winter is the coldest season, and in many places it snows.
Kinds of weather
Weather changes day to day, even within the same season. It might be sunny, rainy, snowy, windy, or cloudy. Weather tells you what the sky and air are doing right now, while a season is more about the whole pattern over months.
Dressing for the weather
Smart dressing means checking the weather and season first. A heavy winter coat is perfect for a snowy day, but way too hot for a sunny summer afternoon, when shorts and a hat make a lot more sense.
