Family Plan & Reading Journey
Setting up a plan for each child, and tracking progress.
What is the Family Plan?
A quick setup for parents or teachers: add a child's name, pick a Bible-themed avatar (a lamb, star, dove, and more), choose a grade level, and pick a few favorite subjects. We use that to show a short list of personal picks on My Reading Journey.
How do I add more than one child?
On the Family Plan page (/family-plan), finish setting up one child, then choose "Add another child." Every child you add shows up as a switchable tab on My Reading Journey.
Where is my child's data stored?
Right on your device, in your browser's local storage. It's never sent to a server or shared with anyone. Clearing your browser data, or switching devices or browsers, will reset it.
What is "My Reading Journey"?
A personal dashboard (/my-progress) that tracks the Psalms your child has read, quizzes finished, stories heard, and games won, and turns them into badges. It works with or without a Family Plan set up.
Can I reset my child's progress?
Clearing your browser's site data for psalmsforkids.com will reset both the Family Plan and My Reading Journey, since both are stored locally. There's currently no reset button in the site itself.
