Fun and Quick Team Activity: Touch the Floor

[ad_1]

When you have extra time to spare, consider using this simple team activity where kids discover the importance of getting along with others.

This game helps kids explore 1 Samuel 25:2-38 with the Bible story: God helps Abigail make peace.

Team Activity: Touch the Floor

Say: God helps us get along. You’ll have to get along well with some partners in this game! Let’s see how well you can work together.

I’ll call out a number. Your trio will need to have exactly that many points of contact with the floor. For example, if I say three, you can each stand on one foot. If I say five, you’ll need to decide who has one foot off the floor. And you may have to get creative!

  • Form mixed-age trios.
  • Call out the number seven.
  • After kids have figured out how to have seven points of contact with the floor total for their trio, pause for discussion.
  • Ask: How did your team work together?
  • Continue by calling out these numbers: 9, 12, 6, 3, 4, 11, 8, 5, 10, infinity.
  • Keep the game going as long as needed to fill time until parents begin to arrive.

This fun team activity comes from DIG IN Children’s Church.
