ENGLISH VERSION: Today’s Bible Verse (28.05.2023):
VERSE:
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (ROMANS 12:2 KJV)
EXPLANATION:
I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:2). Let’s meditate on this verse today.
Let the mind be renewed. A clear mind brings healthy thoughts. Healthy thoughts create a strong life. When the thoughts of a man’s mind are turned straight to God, his whole body and life will be blessed.
As the bridle turns the horse, when the Lord turns the reins to your soul, the scriptures, you will receive eternal blessing and eternal bliss. Spirit, soul, and body are all important to God’s children.
The ancient Greeks placed much importance on the soul. Their philosophy is that we need not concern ourselves with the glories of the body.
But you Christians should not be concerned only with the soul and neglect the body. As important as the soul is, so should the body. Because your body is the temple of God. Apostle Paul states, “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:19).
Can you paint only if there is a wall? Can the body work for the Lord? It is only during the days that you remain in this body that you can carry the cross, praise the Lord, sing, testify, preach and serve for Christ.
Apostle Paul asks that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. Not only that, he also says, ‘Be renewed because your mind is renewed’. Some wear worldly clothes. They walk like worldly people six days a week and dress up like Christians on Sunday.
Still others keep Gentile names after salvation for government scholarships and educational privileges for their children. You can deceive the world. But God cannot be deceived. Your mind needs to be renewed. Only then can you transform.
The scriptures say “…but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” (1 John 3:2). So, beloved, when Christ comes, your spirit, soul, and body will be found spotless before him. Prepare yourselves now!
PRAYER:
Lord of love! Thank you for speaking to me through your word today. Forgive me for choosing paths contrary to Your purpose in my life. Grant me the grace to follow the righteous ways pleasing to You and to lead a happy life as You please. Always help me to fulfill your will and put you first. Let your kingdom come on this earth. May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Thank you for all the blessings you have in store for me. God, change me now. Open my eyes to walk in Your ways and to please You, so that I may not follow the ways of the wicked. Make me your holy temple. You dwell in me. Give me a godly Christ-centered life. No matter how many desires and sinful things come before me in this world, I entrust myself to you today to save me and grant me a holy life dear to you. You will keep me untouched by the impurities of this world. I present my body as a living sacrifice, holy and dear to You, O Lord. Lord, may I seek You even this day with true repentance and a broken heart. I pray in Jesus name Good Father, Amen.
