ENGLISH VERSION: Today’s Bible Verse (24.05.2023):

VERSE:
Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb: (GENESIS 49:25 KJV)

EXPLANATION:
Joseph received and experienced all the “blessings of the deep.” Although Jacob had twelve sons, Jacob blessed Joseph more than all of them.

While blessing Joseph, Jacob’s heart melted and tears flowed in his eyes. What is the reason? His ten brothers, who were completely hostile to Joseph, tortured him and put him in a pit.

They killed a goat, dipped Joseph’s many-colored robe in it, sent it to his father, and said, “Your son will see the robe.”

When Jacob saw it, alas! My lovely son has been attacked by a deadly animal and mauled him, he cried. For many years he would have been troubled thinking about his son without being able to get comfort. Jacob did not think that he would be able to meet Joseph again.

But, one day, when he heard that “Joseph is alive. He is the ruler of the whole land of Egypt”, his heart rejoiced that he would go and see him soon. He saw Joseph with cool eyes. Now in the old age, before death, he blessed Joseph.

“Joseph is a fruitful plant. He is a fruitful plant by the spring of water: his vines overhang the wall. The archers humbled him and shot at him and smote him. Yet his bow stood firm; his bows were strengthened by the mighty hands of Jacob. Therefore he became the shepherd and the rock of Israel. Is it so by the God of your father?” Udda. He will be your helper; the Almighty will bless you with blessings from above and from the depths below, with blessings for breasts and wombs” (Genesis 49:22-25).

Today in Jacob the Elder is near to bless you. His blessings are not only profound but sublime. He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).

So when Moses prayed, he prayed, “God will make us happy in the days of our affliction and in the years of our affliction” (Psalm 90:15).

Beloved! Your days of misery are over. The Lord will change the years of your suffering and give you days of comfort and peace.

PRAYER:
Heavenly God of our love! Jacob is great! You bless us too. We pray that you will bless us not only with the blessings of this world but also with every spiritual blessing. Father in Jesus name Amen!
