VERSE:
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. (PSALM 32:8 KJV)
EXPLANATION:
I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” (Psalm 32:8) Let us meditate on the promise.
The Lord will speak to you in general. He will talk to you personally. You hear his general advice from the scriptures. At the same time, you hear personal advice through his gentle voice. Look at the verse mentioned above. Does not the four direct calls of “thee” “thee” “upon thee” “to thee” indicate that he personally advises and guides?
Beloved, the Lord will visit you personally and teach you with His eyes upon you. He shows the way to walk; Not only that, he also gives advice with love.
Some mothers have the responsibility of caring for infants. At the same time they have to take care of household chores. Even if they are cooking in the kitchen, their eyes are fixed on the child. On one side they look after the child and on the other side they do household chores. Children cannot be separated from their memories.
Our Lord has a motherly love for us. Will a woman not pity the child of her womb and forget her husband? She will never forget. Likewise, the Lord never forgets you. He always keeps his eyes on you and advises you.
Know something clearly. No matter what the problem is, no matter how dire the situation, God can give you the right advice. In Psalm 73:24 David sings “Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.”
There is no problem that God cannot advise or guide. That is why the sage writes: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5,6).
He is waiting for you to ask God for advice. On the road to Damascus, Paul asked the Lord, “Lord, what do you want me to do?” The Lord said, “Get up, go into the city, and there you will be told what you must do.” He himself will give you proper advice and guide you in a wonderful way.
PRAYER:
Lord of love! Thank you Lord for your wonderful promise to me today. Thank you for calling me directly and giving me personal advice and guidance. I believe that You are the guide of my life. “You are my way,” says the scriptures. The problems around me are always bothering me. Forgive me for straying from Your precious guidance. Grant me obedience that I may hearken unto Thy words. Open my heart, eyes and ears to hear your voice and your counsels. Consecrate me to always walk in your way. In confusing situations, I want your voice to always guide me. Let me not do anything by my own wisdom, but help me to walk as You direct. I feel trapped by my wrong decisions. Lord, go before me and make crooked ways straight. Train my ears so that I can hear your voice clearly. Keep your eye on me and always give me advice. Put the fear of You on me. Grant me the grace to see Your wonders as You lead me. I pray in Jesus name Good Father, Amen.
