ENGLISH VERSION: Today’s Bible Verse (13.06.2023):
VERSE:
Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. (HEBREWS 12:4 KJV)
EXPLANATION:
Beloved in Christ! I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, “Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.” (Hebrews 12:4) Let us meditate on the scripture.
Some fight for justice. Some are protesting for higher income. The people are fighting against the government and the lower ranks are fighting against the authorities. The poor man struggles for food. The rich man struggles between status and luxury.
But each of you children of God has a struggle. What struggle is that? Struggle with Satan; The struggle against sin; The world is fighting against meat; Satan does not want you to take the heavenly path. He fights relentlessly against God’s children. The scriptures say, “…we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12).
Not only that, but you must be seen as victorious even in the constant struggle against sin. Many conform to the world, sin, and wickedness. They do not fight against the filth of the world and win. Up. Paul says, “Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.” (Hebrews 12:4).
His life was also a life of struggle. He refers to the struggle as “the good struggle”. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” (2 Timothy 4:7). That is his testimony! The struggle ended well. He successfully completed the race. At the end of that run he had a sense of pride, joy, and anticipation. “From now on the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, and the Lord, the righteous judge, will give it to me on that day,” he writes enthusiastically.
Examine the lives of the saints. Think of how they zealously stood for the Lord and won even in their struggling lives. Always stand against sin and fight to share in the inheritance of the saints in the world.
When the enemy comes against you with temptations of sin, sprinkle the blood of Jesus on him. ‘Go away, Satan, I do not want the world and its desires; Say, ‘I will follow the Lord.’ Sin will not overtake you if you live like fire.
PRAYER:
Lord, no matter how many temptations Satan brings in my life, help me to overcome all temptations with the help of You who are the initiator and finisher of faith. I have to face the trials and tribulations of the world. God will help me to do them. May your grace surround me like a wall of fire and protect me. Cover me under your wings. Learn to run humbly the race you have set for me. I believe that a great reward awaits me at the end. Fill me with Your strength so that I will not faint until I win the race. Grant me the grace to look to You from this day forward in all things, and thereby learn faith and patience in the course of my life. Bless me. I pray in Jesus name Good Father, Amen.
