VERSE:
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. (Hebrews 11:5 KJV)
EXPLANATION:
I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. (Hebrews 11:5).
Enoch made it his life’s goal to please God. “What will God be pleased with me if I do? How can we please the Lord? How can we please Him?” Those were the questions in his mind.
The way Enoch used to please God was faith. That is why the very beginning of that verse (Hebrews 11:5) is written, “Enoch by faith.” One day Enoch took the Lord’s hand in faith.
It is the Lord who begins and finishes faith (Hebrews 12:1). That is why a strong faith arose in Enoch who grasped God’s hand with faith. ‘This God is my God forever and ever. That faith is that he will lead me so that I will not see death.
Enoch’s faith was responsible for his promotion. Scripture says, “Faith is the victory that overcomes the world” (1 John 5:4). “The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17). It is faith that leads one to salvation (Matthew 9:22, Matthew 10:22).
Enoch walked with the Lord by faith. “God who made the heavens and the earth is able to walk with man; Is not the belief that “He who dwells among men” is the greatest faith? Enoch who walked with God in that way received love and grace from God.
Faith grows as we walk with God. What a glorious experience it is to talk directly with God! Because of that faith, Enoch was not only found pleasing to the Lord, but he was also taken so that he would not see death.
If you have complete faith in the Lord, you will surely be found pleasing to the Lord. And the Lord will bear witness concerning you. About Moses, “Moses my servant is faithful everywhere in my house” (Numbers 12:7), about David, “I found him after my own heart” (Acts 13:22), about Nathanael, “a perfect Israelite without guile” (John 1:47). ) and testified about Job, “There is no one on earth like him, who is upright and righteous, who fears God and turns away from evil” (Job 1:8). Beloved, shall not the Lord bear witness of you in the same way?
PRAYER:
Supreme Father! Like Enoch, give me the grace to grow in the faith you love in my life and take hold of your hand. O God who initiates faith, remove the unbelief found in me and sow the seed of faith. May that plant of faith grow in me every day and give me the grace to grow stronger. Removes the lack in my life. May I receive them from You by faith and live as a witness to others. Lord, no matter how many trials Satan brings in my life, help me to overcome all trials with the help of you who are the initiator and finisher of faith. Give me the faith to believe in you all the time. Give me the faith to move mountains. You are kind and compassionate. Have mercy on me and save me. I pray in Jesus name Good Father, Amen!
