VERSE:
Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. (ISAIAH 38:2&3 KJV)

EXPLANATION:
I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. “Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.” (Isaiah 38:2&3). Let’s meditate on these verses today.

“Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall,” says the scripture. Besides, the one who turned his face towards the wall looked towards the Lord. He started praying with tears.

David says, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” (Psalm 20:7).

Which side you turn to reveals who you trust. Some put their faces on top of themselves. They rely on self-knowledge that they can achieve everything with their skills, knowledge, talent and money.

Some look up to their children and their clansmen. Some people look to those who can help them in situations. Some believe in their beauty. Some believe in their abilities.

But King Hezekiah did not turn to any of them, but turned to the wall. He began to pray, ‘Lord, I trust in nothing else, I look to You.’

Beloved, have you ever been turned against the wall? Stand near the wall and look. You cannot see anything else. Only the wall can be seen. Likewise let the Lord alone be in your sight.

King Hezekiah, at the time of that illness, when he was near death, did not turn to the physicians or to the healers, but only to the wall. He prayed to God with tears. God’s answer came to him immediately. The Lord not only healed his illness but also added fifteen years to his life.

David says. “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1,2).

Isaiah says, “They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.” (Isaiah 42:17).

And in Psalm 125:1 Scripture says, “They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.”

Beloved, do not look at the self. Don’t look at tribal people. Don’t look at circumstances. Turn to the wall and pray to God. God will answer you immediately as He did to King Hezekiah. Depend only on Jesus Christ in your life. He will definitely do great things in your life.

PRAYER:
Savior of love! Thank you for your wonderful promise. I have come to you today, trusting in you and seeking your help. Lord, those who trust in you will not be ashamed; The scriptures say that their faces will shine. Even now, I put all my trust in you. Forgive me for going after worldly things and worldly people. How many times have I been disappointed in my trust in man in this world. From today I put my full trust in You Almighty God. You guide me in Your divine path to live completely dependent on You and thereby receive Your abundant blessings. Today I look to you as if you will do miracles for me. O Lord, deliver me from all around me as You have promised. Fill me with all blessings that I may be a blessing to others and glorify Your name. I praise You for restoring my faith in You. I pray in Jesus name Good Father, Amen.
