About the Children’s Department: How Does Anchored “Work”?

[ad_1]

Anchored is a supplemental curriculum which teaches the “whys” – it is designed to be used alongside whatever curriculum you are currently using in your Children’s Ministry – it is not intended to replace your curriculum which teaches the “whats”. So, how does Anchored “work”?

Each quarter with Anchored focuses upon one “Big Why” – why we are able to believe God is real, the Bible is true, God and science DO go together, and God is Good. On Sundays during your large group time you will spend a few minutes talking with the children about the “Big Why” for the week. During small group time teachers will talk a little more with the children and engage them in a simple activity. During the week families will enjoy an activity (sometimes a science project, other times a cooking project, or art activity, or game.) Families are encouraged to take a photo or make a short video of their family as they work on their activity and then the following week during large group time a photo or video is shared – this is a fun way to encourage families to participate.

Anchored includes everything you need for large group, small group, and family time. Most importantly, as you work through the Anchored curriculum at church and as families do this at home, children will learn the “whys” – why they are able to believe. This will equip them with a confident faith.

Anchored is easy to use, engaging, and memorable. It will help you and parents/grandparents hand down confident faith. We are able to help the children in our ministries and families grow up so they are able to “hold firmly to the trustworthy Word as they have been taught” – but for this to happen, we must teach it. When we do, they will know the doctrine they have been taught is sound and will be able to stand firmly with a confident faith!

Check out Anchored. It provides the tools you need to teach the “whys”! You will find samples at this link and are able to order it in the bookstore at this link.
